Dehradun, 07 February 2026. Saturday became a special day for Panchur village in Yamkeshwar block of Pauri district. After all, their own son was home with them today. Following an overnight stay at his ancestral house, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stepped out for a morning walk through the village lanes, and a crowd of youngsters and children joined him along the way. Though he is now a renunciate, in the village he is still someone\u2019s brother, someone\u2019s grandfather, someone\u2019s uncle. Seeing the familiar footpaths, Yogi grew emotional and spoke at length with everyone. He relived his childhood with the children and showed the youth a path toward the future.
\nOn the final day of his two-day visit, Yogi woke up at the Brahma Muhurat as per his daily routine. After prayers, he spent some time enjoying the gentle morning sunshine in the courtyard of his home. He then set out for a walk. The serene surroundings, the mountain air, and childhood memories transported him back to the past for a few moments. Passing through the village lanes, he was seen pausing repeatedly to look at old houses and pathways.
\nThe Chief Minister spoke warmly with the children, asking about their studies and plans for the future. The presence of Yogi among them generated special enthusiasm among children and villagers alike. People met the Chief Minister in a simple, heartfelt manner and reminisced about old times. He departed from the village in the afternoon.

\nOnce again, the taste of kandali proved irresistible
\nAt home, Chief Minister Yogi savored traditional hill cuisine. The kandali (stinging nettle) saag was a special highlight. This local fare, rooted in the soil of the village, held deep emotional significance for the Chief Minister. Villagers said that despite holding such a high office, his bond with the village remains unchanged.

\nSapling planted at the Guru Gorakhnath Government College campus
\nThereafter, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted an on-site inspection of the Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Government College in Yamkeshwar. He planted a sapling on the campus to convey a message of environmental conservation and paid floral tributes at the statue of the late Mahant Avaidyanath Maharaj. During the inspection, he reviewed academic and basic facilities and issued necessary directions to officials. On the occasion, local MLA Renu Bisht, public representatives, administrative officers, college administration, and a large number of local residents were present.
