Heavy Showers Likely in Western Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Haryana
Dehradun (PBS): No significant change is expected in the current weather conditions. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall across the state on Tuesday. An orange alert has been issued for Uttarkashi, Dehradun, Tehri, and Rudraprayag, while a yellow alert is in effect for the remaining areas of the state. According to the weather center based in Dehradun, winds with speeds ranging between 30 to 40 kilometers per hour may accompany the rains in Uttarkashi, Dehradun, Tehri, and Rudraprayag. Considering the weather conditions, a holiday has been declared for schools in Tehri district.
Additionally, the Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rain over the next two days in Western Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab. Meanwhile, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Mahe, Konkan, Goa, Maharashtra, and the northeastern states are also likely to experience heavy rainfall over the next 2-3 days. There is also a forecast of thunderstorms and lightning in Bihar, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Jharkhand, Odisha, and sub-Himalayan West Bengal. Light rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms is expected to continue over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands until the 26th of this month.
