Dehradun: Amidst towering Devdaar trees stands the Koneshwar Mahadev Temple, offering a spiritually enriching experience. This is a journey you might remember for a lifetime – the Butterfly Park of Devalsari. Enriched with biodiversity, the park has identified 198 species of birds and 200 species of butterflies. If luck favors you, you might even spot leopards, cheetals (spotted deer), bears, ghorals (mountain goats), sambhars, and flying squirrels amidst this colorful, dreamy butterfly world.
Located in Tehri district of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, Devalsari is a treasure trove of natural blessings. Not far from Mussoorie, the ‘Queen of Hills’, Devalsari sits at an altitude of about 5,000 feet. It is approximately 75 kilometers from Dehradun and around 45 kilometers from Mussoorie. Falling under Jaunpur block of Tehri, this area lies within the Devalsari Range of Mussoorie Forest Division. The forests of banj (oak), moru, and other oaks lend a unique charm to the region. Developed in collaboration with forest panchayats and the forest department, the park spans around six to seven kilometers and has been nurturing biodiversity since 2016.

How to Reach:
The nearest airport is Jolly Grant in Dehradun. Devalsari is accessible via car, taxi, and other means from Dehradun and Mussoorie.
Visit Devalsari During Spring and Autumn:
The best time to explore Devalsari is during spring (March to June) and autumn (September to November). The weather is pleasant, and nature is at its most beautiful. Summers offer relief from the heat of the plains. Though the monsoon (July to August) brings lush greenery, the heavy rains can make travel challenging.
